At the Church of the Nazarene, we hold dear that our children will shape our community in the years to come. Knowing what an importance they are, we have many different ministries that focus on helping to raise our children into people who love God completely.
Sunday Morning Ministries – 10-11:30am
-Our primary ministry on Sunday morning is “High Point”. High Point is an exciting program that allows the children to “travel the world” learning about different cultures and ethnicities while also learning the value that Christ holds for everyone. Each week they travel to a different country with their “Pilot”. They learn through meeting “Crazy Characters” and listening to stories and through creating their own themed crafts. High Point is for children 4 years old through the 5th grade.
-Our secondary ministries on Sunday morning involve a nursery for children ages newborn through 2 years, as well as, Sunday School for children ages 2-3. In Sunday School the children learn bible stories that are geared to their age and have snacks and games.
Sunday Evening Ministries – 5:45-7:30pm
-Our primary ministry on Sunday evening is “His Kids”. His Kids is a fun and exciting time of play and education for children age 4-5th grade. The kids enjoy play time on our beautiful cedar playground, and snacks and fun games that teach them life’s fundamentals.
-Our secondary ministry on Sunday evening is “Kids Class”. This ministry is for children from newborn to age 4. Kids class allows the children a time to enjoy snacks and playtime together in one of our classrooms designed just for them!
Wednesday Evening Ministries – 6:45-8pm
-Our primary ministry on Wednesday evening is “Quizzing”. Quizzing is for kids age 1st grade-6th grade. Each evening the children learn and study a specific book of the bible. Children study this book throughout the fall and spring semesters. Throughout this time the kids take part in up to 3 quiz meets where they get to put their hard work into action. The kids especially love this ministry and parents will love the solid biblical foundation that it instills in their children.
-Our secondary ministry on Wednesday evening is “Kids Class”. This ministry is for children from newborn to age 4. Kids class allows the children the opportunity to enjoy playtime together in one of our classrooms designed just for them!
Seasonal Ministries
-During the Spring our children take part in our “Spring Musical”. Each spring our children have the opportunity to grow their talents through singing and acting. Practice for the musical takes place during our Sunday evening ministry time. The spring musical is a time for each child to learn more about Christ through true to live situations and also learn valuable lessons in how to treat themselves and others.
-During the summer our children participate in “Vacation Bible School”. Our vacation bible school is held for five days during the evening. Children enjoy exciting programs, in which they learn songs, enjoy a time of crafts, fellowship with each other over dinner, play crazy games, and take part in fun bible stories with a real world twist! The children also get the opportunity to perform the songs they learn for our entire “church family” on the Sunday morning following VBS.

Anyone interested in working in the children’s or teen’s ministry should do the following:
1. Read the Children’s Policy document.
2. Read the Profile On A Child Abuser document.
3. Print and complete the Children’s Training Test document.
4. Adults should print and complete the Adult Forms Packet.
5. Teenagers should print and complete the Teen Forms Packet.
6. The completed training test and forms should be returned to Jeff Burton in person or at the church mailbox in the resource room.
Please note: On the Criminal Check Authorization form, we MUST have the witness signature. This cannot be left blank.
